Students in Metro's HBS class complete a bone dissection lab. Student's reflections: "The human body is incredible. The organ systems work hand in hand regulating their own functions like the skeletal system and production of blood cells and fat. "Dissection holds a lot of value, as it helps us understand the anatomy & physiology of the human body and teaches us more about the actual structure of the bone than a labeled picture ever could."

HBS students stepped into the role of physical therapists, gaining real-world experience alongside Metro graduate Salma Abubakar and experts from OSU’s Physical Therapy program. The collaboration provided an exciting opportunity for students to apply classroom knowledge in a clinical setting, reinforcing their understanding of musculoskeletal function and the importance of physical therapy.





The new Metro gym is officially in use! Middle and high school students enjoy their first classes in the space playing volleyball.



Metro's middle school curriculum includes a deep dive into the study of agriculture and its relationship with STEM, thanks to an ongoing partnership with Ohio State’s College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences. Active Learning: In addition to reading case studies, students in the Human Body Systems class learn about the tools used to collect vital signs and get hands-on practice seeing how different conditions affect the accuracy of results.




Real-World Experiences: Participation in the New Albany Lecture Series provided Ms. Warfield's Government class a chance to learn about Civil Discourse & Debate from former United States Senators Claire McCaskill and Ben Sasse.

Energy ECE students are starting their motor build after reviewing instructions for the Engineering Report.



Today's high school Student Showcase gave parents and staff members a chance to hear about exciting projects completed in fall term. To quote one parent in attendance: "That was amazing! I love talking to these students!"




Students in the Energy Early College program visited EcoHouse Solar to learn about solar panels and sustainability. Students had a first-hand look at the components of solar panel boxes and got to try out the training rooftop used to teach installation.
