One-To-One Computing Program

Technology is an integral part of the Metro educational model. School devices are issued to enrolled students for use in our courses: iPads for middle school, MacBooks for high school. The annual student fee provides coverage for all preventive maintenance, annual updates, and software licensing. Families assume responsibility for the device and its safe return at the end of the school year or the student's enrollment at Metro.

Reliable internet access is vital for the use of school technology at home (homework and virtual days). If your family needs affordable internet options, see the resources at the following link: Low Income Internet Guide

Acceptable Use Policy states “The equipment is the property of Metro, and there is no right to privacy with regard to the equipment. The equipment and its contents, including browsing history, documents, pictures, files, and any other information or content may be monitored and/or inspected at any time by Metro.” Metro can monitor and read any information stored or accessed on assigned devices. Students agree to the following during the annual registration process:

  • Devices are not allowed out of the country.

Broken Devices

Students are responsible to care for their assigned devices. These devices are the property of The Metro Schools. Lost or damaged devices will result in charges being assessed and added to student's PowerSchool account to be paid by the end of the school year.

  • Be gentle with your assigned device.

  • DO NOT put stickers on the device.

  • DO NOT pick up MacBook by the screen.

  • DO NOT replace the iPad case.

  • DO NOT loan your device/charger to others.
