What is Schoology?

Teachers use Schoology to post classroom materials online, provide a safe forum for students to discuss their ideas and collaborate on projects, and to assign and collect school work electronically. It helps students stay organized, keeps the class connected, and makes it easy for parents to stay involved in their children’s education..

Students and parents each have their own accounts for Schoology. A Schoology parent account gives you access to:

  • The classes your child is enrolled in each semester

  • Your child’s upcoming assignments

  • School and class announcements

Parent Instructions to Sign Up for a Schoology Account

  1. Go to https://app.schoology.com/register.php

  2. Click on Parent

  3. Enter the 12-digit Access Code provided by the school

  4. Click Continue

  5. Fill out the registration information

  6. Once logged in, click on your name in the upper right corner

  7. Select your student to see their Schoology information

  8. To add another Metro student, click on your name, select Add a Child and enter the access code for that student.

  • Do I need to sign up for Schoology every year? No, you only need to set up an account once at Metro.

  • What do I do if I forgot my password? Parents and students can use the same instructions for forgotten passwords.

  • What if I have multiple students at Metro? To add another child, click on your name after logging in, then select Add Child and enter the Parent Access Code for that student (provided by the school).

  • Can I have Schoology accounts for multiple schools? No. Try using a different email that is not connected with an account you set up at a different school.

  • Can I see information from multiple schools? If you have children that attend different schools, please link your accounts with these steps to avoid logging in to multiple accounts.
