Winners are recognized in their district and at an annual awards ceremony in Washington, DC. Winning artwork will be displayed at the U.S. Capitol for one year. Congratulations!

National Honor Society & Key Club members were at the Tuttle Park Community Center for a day of service. The rain may have prevented park clean up, but a pivot to indoor projects made the day a huge success!

The middle school Drone Soccer Team competed at the National Championship in New York last week. Representing Metro on a national stage, students demonstrated incredible innovation, teamwork, and passion in this cutting-edge sport. Competing among the top teams in the country was an unforgettable experience!

Interdisciplinary Project: Geometry and English 9 classes participated in a Zoom meeting with L'Oréal Packaging Engineer Erica Levin (from the New York facility) to learn about processes and constraints of designing a bottle for a personal care product.

Students in Metro's HBS class complete a bone dissection lab. Student's reflections: "The human body is incredible. The organ systems work hand in hand regulating their own functions like the skeletal system and production of blood cells and fat. "Dissection holds a lot of value, as it helps us understand the anatomy & physiology of the human body and teaches us more about the actual structure of the bone than a labeled picture ever could."
