Metro's office will be closed during July; please excuse any delays in receiving a response to emails or phone messages. The office will reopen on August 4 to assist you, but you can find information on frequently requested items below while we are closed.
Potential Students:
Application/Admissions: If you are interested in applying to Metro, visit the "How to Apply" page of our website for information on the lottery process. The page includes a link to the 2025-26 application.
School Tours: Tours are not available while our office is closed, but we invite you to schedule a visit in the fall. Visit the Schedule a Tour page of our website to submit a request.
Current Students:
Student Registration: If you are having trouble with the online student registration process, reply to the email you received describing the issue. If you need to submit documents, email them to registration@themetroschool.org
Summer Assignment: All middle and high school students have a summer assignment that is due when classes begin in August. Visit the Summer Reading page for details.
Bus Registration: Busing to Metro is provided by participating districts. Parents must complete the required forms during summer. Visit the Bus Transportation page of our website for requirements for your home district.
Annual Student Fee: Student fees can be paid in person (cash, check, money order) when our office opens in August.
Free/Reduced Meal Form: All families are asked to complete a new Free or Reduced Meal Application annually, even if the student will not eat school food. Qualifying students can access additional benefits and fee waivers that can greatly benefit parents!
Summer Work Permits: If your child is starting a job over summer, visit the Minor Work Permit page of our website for the permit application and instructions. Completed applications can be emailed to burgett.2@themetroschool.org for processing.
