Student presentation

At Metro, we celebrate student work and engagement through annual presentations that highlight their accomplishments. Families and community partners are invited to join us to hear more about the great work going on at Metro Schools!

Capstone Symposium May 14

High school students in our Early College programs spend spring semester in real-world internships, completing research projects with professionals in a field of interest. Join us at the Capstone Symposium May 14 from 3:30 - 6:30pm at 420 E. 19th Avenue to hear about their work.

Roundtables & Gateways May 27 & 28

There will be no regular middle or high school classes the last two days of school. Instead, families are to schedule a conference with their student's Advisor for the end of year student presentation on May 27 OR 28. Students will only report for their scheduled time either day. These presentations are a Metro requirement!

  • Roundtables: Students will review their academic growth and use of the Metro Habits during spring semester. At least one parent/guardian must attend with the student, but you're welcome to bring the whole family to hear about the great things your child is doing!

  • Gateways: High school students who have met requirements to begin the early college portion of our program in the fall will present a Gateway - a defense of their readiness college-level work. Please bring all members of your child's academic support team for this important celebration.

Senior Gateways: Graduating seniors will make their final presentation as they prepare for the next phase of their academic journey. This is a great chance to hear about the return on investment for the work done during their Metro years. Please check with your 12th grader for their scheduled day & time.
