STEM Expo

Metro hosted current and future families at the STEM Expo on April 30, an evening filled with innovation, creativity, and hands-on discovery. The event offered a glimpse into the STEM-rich learning experiences defining Metro's education approach.

Guests explored various activities, from writing computer code to programming drones and flying them to test their skills. The Metrobots provided live demonstrations of their robot from this year's competition, showcasing engineering in action. Other interactive booths were provided by students from Science Buskers, Science Olympiad, Coding Club, National Art Honor Society, Key Club, and STEMinists.

A special thank you to our guest partner from COSI, whose hands-on exhibit added to the evening's excitement. The STEM Expo was part of COSI's Science Festival, which ends with the Big Science Celebration May 3 (https://cosiscifest.org/visit/bsc/). You're invited to join the fun on COSI's campus; be sure stop by the Metro booth to say hello!

The Expo provided an opportunity for families to meet Amy Lint, principal of Metro's new elementary school, set to open this fall at 1929 Kenny Road. As our community and programs continue to grow, events like the STEM Expo highlight the creativity, collaboration, and curiosity that make Metro a leader in STEM education.
