TeamMetro : PTSO

Welcome to the Metro PTSO!

The TeamMetro PTSO Mission

The goal of TeamMetro PTSO is to (1) enrich and support the student educational experience at the Metro Schools; 2) facilitate communication between Metro parents and Metro faculty and administrators and thus support parent understanding of Metro practices and enhance student performance; (3) build community among students and parents; and (4) raise money to financially support clubs and other enrichment opportunities for students.

TeamMetro PTSO and Parents

“Parents always play a key role in the education of their children. But at Metro, where student educational advancement is largely self-directed and self-motivated, the guiding role played by parents is particularly important.

The TeamMetro PTSO (Parent, Teacher, Student Organization) has a multitude of roles to play.

Foremost, it serves as a communication bridge between school administrators, teachers and parents. The PTSO provides parents with a forum to share concerns and ideas with others in the Metro community. Cumulatively, PTSO volunteers have years of experience at the school, and their knowledge and advice can be tapped by the parents of both new students and continuing students. (read more)”
