PTSO Meeting Tomorrow

The PTSO invites you to their monthly meeting May 13 at 6:30pm. Mr. Neugebauer will be speaking about the Gateway process.

COSI Memberships for Metro Students

While the school year is quickly wrapping up, learning doesn’t have to come to a halt this summer. We are pleased to announce Metro  students now have the opportunity to sign-up for a complimentary 1-year COSI membership, thanks to the generous support of Battelle.

With interactive exhibits that encourage discovery, a variety of new teen programs, and a focus on STEM, COSI is a valuable resource that can complement the work that happens throughout the school year here atMetro. Learn more about teen programming at

To kick-off this program, COSI visited Metro today for a live demo with middle school classes. Middle school students received a COSI membership application to be completed and returned to the school office by Friday, May 23. This entitles the student to a free Individual + Guest membership ($80 value) The membership is free, but sign up and a parent signature is required.  Parents may upgrade to a family membership for just $35.

High school students may also sign up for the Individual + guest membership offer. The application have been forwarded to all students at their Metro email address.

Summer Recovery Sessions: Calendar Available Online

Students who will finish the semester with classes not at Mastery will have the opportunity to attend recovery course sessions this June. The calendar for recovery courses is now available on our website. If you feel your student will need to attend and have questions regarding a particular class, feel free to contact the instructor for requirements and expectations. 

Ferris State University Visit

DVS Diversity in Education will be sponsoring a free overnight trip to Ferris State University May 21-May 22. The trip will depart at 8am on May 21 and return at 6:30pm on May 22. Students must be sophomores or juniors with a minimum 2.7 GPA and/or ACT score of 17 or above to attend. Parents are welcome. (Please note this is NOT a Metro sponsored trip.)
