Metro Update: April 14, 2014
Schedule for the Week
Metro will have regular classes Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday of this week and conduct classes virtually on Thursday. Thursday will follow a typical virtual day schedule. DESIGN students will NOT meet virtually but should report to Dublin for class as usual. The shuttle from Metro will be available on its regular schedule.
If your child is unable to report for class due to appointments or other obligations, please notify teachers in advance to avoid an unexcused absence. There will be no Metro classes on Friday, April 18 or Monday, April 21 for the Easter holiday. Students with OSU classes should attend class on their regular schedule.
Fall OSU Classes
High school students who will have completed 18 Metro credits by end of semester and be eligible to Gateway must complete an application for the OSU academy by May 1 to be eligible for college coursework in the fall. Eligible students have been provided application materials. Parents must sign the form granting permission to apply. All paperwork must be turned in by May 1 with no exceptions, as this is a deadline set by the university.
Learning Center Applications
Today, sophomores and juniors eligible for next year’s learning centers met with Mrs. Kemp to review the options available. During the meeting, students were supplied with two documents – an overview of the programs offered and a selection form. If your student is eligible, please review the information and ensure their selection form is completed and returned by
Wednesday. Participation in learning centers is required for students to be granted access to additional college coursework. Click on the links below to access the forms provided to students:
