Metro Update: January 20,2014
Metro Applications Due Feb. 14
If you have friends interested in Metro, encourage them to apply on our website before the Feb. 14 deadline. Applications received by Feb. 14 will be included in the lottery for available seats for the 2014-2015 school year. If you have a student currently enrolled with a sibling who would like to attend, please remember that siblings must also submit an application by deadline to take advantage of our sibling policy.
Career Day Feb. 10
Feb. 10 is Career Shadowing Day. This is an opportunity for students to explore a career of interest by spending time with a professional on the job. High school students should secure a shadowing placement by working with parents to contact friends/colleagues who can host them for the day (those with OSU classes will be exempt). Students received a Career Shadowing Form by email that should be submitted by Jan. 31 with details on the person to be shadowed. Middle school students will participate in a Career Fair at Metro. Students will complete an interest survey to match them with professionals who will be here to talk about their careers. PARENTS: If you would like to be a presenter at the Career Fair, we would love to have you! Presentation times are 8:15am-10:15am OR 10:30am-12:30pm and include two 40 minute sessions covering the educational requirements, opportunities and careers within your profession. If you can help, email the Student Support Center email@example.com. All questions can be addressed to Maureen Casamassimo, Supervisor
Middle School Science Fair
