Academic Advisor/ Program Coordinator (OSU / Metro)

Misty Kemp

Mrs. Kemp was born and raised a BUCKEYE!  She attended Bexley High School and The Ohio State University, where she was the first in her family to earn a Bachelors Degree. After working for the Columbus Dispatch for a few years, she returned to OSU as a staff member in the OSU Department of Dance. Where, for more than 6 years, she worked with some of the most talented and inspirational artists and scholars in the country (in the world even), and developed a true appreciation for the arts. Mrs. Kemp is now in her 6th year of working with Metro, and is an advocate for STEM education and it's ability to produce college-ready, and life-ready, students. She is an Academic Advisor with The Ohio State University, assigned to work specifically with the Metro Early College High School students taking classes on campus. She is passionate about helping students and their families successfully navigate the path to a college education. Outside of school, she spends time with her husband and two young children, who keep her very busy and incredibly engaged!
