School Counselor, Metro Early College High School (MECHS)
Corey Boyer obtained his Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology with a minor in Theatre from The Ohio State University in 2015, and continued his education at OSU to receive a Master of Arts degree in Counselor Education: School Counseling in 2017. This is Corey's second year at MECHS, where he helps all students with their academic, social, emotional, and career development needs. Outside of the counseling office, Corey co-advises the school's Gender Sexuality Alliance (GSA) and is the advisor for the Drama Club. He really enjoys working with students on their identity development, figuring out their future plans after high school, and being a trusted, empathetic adult for students to go to when they need to. When Corey isn't at the school, he enjoys spending time with his friends, family, and pug Raven.
